Favorite Things To Do At Night In Tokyo

So you are heading to Japan and looking for some fun things to do at night. I’m not a big night owl but here ar some tips of my favorite places.

1.Weird theme restaurants

DINING BAR SUBMARINE – sub-aquatic-themed izakaya (Dining Bar Submarine, Pocket Building B1, Kabukichuo 1-17-4, Shinjuku-Ku Tel: (03) 5285-3480.)

Vampire Cafe: Address: (7F La Paix Building, 6-7-6 Ginza, Chuo-Ku. Tel: 03-3289-5360)

Alcatraz ER (Crazy horror themed restaurant – Try ‘Drink X’

Robot restaurant – this place drives me crazy but so many like it.

Kill Bill – Gonpachi restaurant

Ninja restaurant

Tokyo Penguin Bar

ARABIAN ROCK – old Arabia of Sinbad and Aladdin – (2-3F Square Building, 1-16-3 Kabuki-Cho, Shinjuku-ku, 160-0021.)

Kagaya (Izakaya with a twist. Just make a reservation, don’t look anything else up about the restaurant

2.Dance: Shibuya Night clubs & Ageha (One of the biggest clubs in Asia).

3.Cocktails:  Mixing Japanese creativity and perfectionism manifests into very unique and tasty cocktails. Bar High Five – featured on PBS the owner is supposed to be a master cocktail maker. Mixology Laboratory or Experiment

4.Park Hyatt top bar for a drink and view of city  (this is where ‘Lost in translation’ was filmed)

5.Tachinomiya in Shinjuku/Shibuya (called Golden Gai “Town” – 100 standing bars in one location)

6.Walk around Ebisu for Dinner

7. Music – Check out bauhaus (now high prices)

8. Karaoke anyone?

9. Walk around anywhere at night in the summertime, you have no idea what you may find like the sweet potato truck and of course it’s safe!

10. Check out Tokyo Tower at Night and get a night view of the city.
