Sapporo is also known for great festivals and amazing culinary culture. Exciting foods from the Hokkaido farmlands and seas are always in abundance. Below are some of the best places to eat when you are visit Sapporo.

Last summer I went to Sapporo – a place frequented mostly in the winter. I went on this trip with a few friends including Franklin and Alyssa. Franklin had previously visited the Sapporo Fish Market and made sure we went again. This fish market had the largest shellfish I have ever seen. We also went to Franklin’s favorite sushi shop in the market which offered a 5 bowl tasting.
Jinginsukan Daruma Rokuyon
Jinginsukan is a signatory dish in Sapporo that is made of barbecue lamb/mutton with leaks, bell peppers and Japanese onions. Enjoy this delicacy at the Jinginsukan Daruma Rokuyon. They offer some of the best Jinginsukan.
Sapporo beer Garden
This place serves as a tourist attraction as well as a great spot to eat and drink. So if you are ever in Sapporo, do not hesitate to visit here and try the local specialty Genghis Khan. It’s an “all you can eat” specialty served with cold Sapporo bear.
Nishitondendori soup curry Honpo
Given that soup curry originated from Hokkaido, this dish is popularly regarded as a staple dish in Sapporo. As a result, there are many restaurants where you can enjoy the traditional soup curry. One of such top spots is Nishitondendori.
